BOWERS & WILKINS DIAMOND SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM.
The Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system offers outstanding studio-quality sound in the vehicle. The careful positioning of the speakers guarantees that driver and passengers always enjoy the best possible sound, no matter where they are sitting. Sixteen speakers with a total output of 1,400 watts provide a mesmerising sound experience.
Innovative speaker materials strike the perfect balance between sound quality and vehicle weight. The Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system diamond tweeters are made of pure synthetic diamonds. This distinctly light and extremely resilient material is ideal for producing high-frequency signals. Further highlights include the NautilusTM technology, which deflects undesirable sound radiation from the back of the dome, allowing a three-dimensional sound to be created, as well as two mid-range speakers with Kevlar® technology and two central subwoofers with Rohacell® technology.
The stainless-steel speaker trim features the exclusive Fibonacci cutout design. When the system is turned on, the speakers are subtly illuminated, which visually emphasises the system's outstanding sound quality.
EXECUTIVE LOUNGE.
There is hardly a more effective place to relax when on the move than in the Executive Lounge of the BMW 7 Series. It offers the rear passenger on the front passenger side maximum comfort through a wide range of adjustment options, an optional massage function with combined Vitality Programme and a footrest for a particularly comfortable resting position. In addition, the front passenger seat can be moved far forwards electrically and its backrest folded forwards for maximum leg room. A folding table and the equipment option Rear-seat entertainment Experience perfectly round off the rear of the BMW 7 Series as a place of retreat.
Executive Lounge Seating
Executive Lounge Seating equipment provides the passenger seated behind the front passenger with a high degree of comfort thanks to maximised leg room. The seat and backrest angle can be individually adjusted to create a comfortable relaxation position. An electrically extending footrest on the front passenger backrest increases comfort even further.
For even more space in the rear of the vehicle, the front passenger seat can be moved up to 90 mm forward and the headrest folded down, to allow an unobstructed view to the front.Executive Lounge rear console
The Executive Lounge rear console offers a wealth of functions for the best possible comfort in the back seat of the vehicle. Via BMW Touch Command, a 7" touchscreen tablet, it also allows for convenient operation of the comfort and entertainment functions.
On the passenger side in the rear, along with a folding table that can be angled vertically and extended horizontally, the Executive Lounge rear console offers two integrated cupholders, including a storage compartment and another compartment under the armrest.
Additionally, the Executive Lounge rear console includes a snap-in charging holder for the BMW Touch Command, and exclusive Floor mats in high pile. The Executive Lounge rear console leaves four seats available in the vehicle.Vitality Programme
Travel in a relaxed manner and arrive fit and full of energy. In combination with the massage seats at the rear and the equipment option Rear-seat entertainment Experience, the BMW Vitality Programme offers rear-seat passengers an extensive range of features to increase their physical wellbeing.
Eight different exercise programmes are available to mobilise the muscles of the back and shoulders. The interactive body training is displayed on the rear-seat entertainment monitor, while sensors integrated into the rear seats give feedback to ensure the exercises are performed to the optimum.Massage function for rear-seat passengers
Rear-seat passengers can choose between eight different massage functions in the backrest and seat surface in order to stimulate or relax muscles in a targeted manner, leading to less pressure on the spinal discs. These massage programmes can be set to one of three intensity levels.
The eight programmes are divided into the categories mobilisation, relaxation and vitalisation. The mobilisation function not only massages individual body parts such as the pelvis or the upper back, but also the entire body. The spinal column is also relieved with the help of specified active exercises. The back, shoulders and lumbar region are gently massaged by the relaxation function. The vitalisation function leads to a noticeable relaxation and invigoration of the body, which is particularly beneficial on long journeys. The rear-seat entertainment monitor displays an animated training programme (Vitality Programme) in synch with the massage actuators. The entire range of programmes and functions is controlled via the BMW Touch Command for the rear-seat entertainment system.
AMBIENT LIGHT DESIGN.
Light creates worlds – in nature, in art, in design and in the BMW 7 Series. Various direct and indirect light sources lend the interior of the BMW 7 Series its modern lounge character. The lighting concept is perfected with the Panorama glass roof Sky Lounge when natural light sources combine with the colour nuances of the Ambient light to create an unforgettable atmosphere.

The Panorama glass roof Sky Lounge gives passengers a clear view of the sky day and night, while creating a generous, open sense of space. The light-flooded interior makes an exceptionally attractive and luxurious impression. Electric roller sunblinds for the front and rear are adjusted separately to offer pleasant shade from direct sunlight.
When it's dark an atmospheric mood is created by a light design made up of more than 15,000 light elements. The light design can be switched between the six colours of the Ambient interior lighting.
It provides a variety of additional options for ventilating the interior with its slide and lift functions in the front. An integrated, automatically extending wind deflector protects passengers against draughts, even when driving with an open roof.Ambient light
When it is dark outside, Ambient light creates a relaxed, cosy lighting atmosphere in the interior. The Welcome Light Carpet, a part of the Ambient light equipment, illuminates the area in front of the car doors when entering and exiting.
Along with the Welcome Light Carpet in White, the equipment includes six dimmable light designs in White, Blue, Orange, Bronze, Lilac and Green.
The equipment additionally includes: lights in the front footwells, the glove compartment, the centre armrest in rear and armrest storage compartment, and on the front seat backrests; front and rear reading lights; tailgate illumination; lighting on the trim, exterior mirrors and card compartment; footwell illumination as well as exit lights for all doors.
AMBIENT AIR PACKAGE.
At the push of a button, the Ambient Air Package fills the interior of the car with a subtle, pleasant fragrance. Eight fragrances, belonging to four themes, are available, all specially composed for the vehicle. Two can be used alternately in the vehicle at a time. The intensity of the fragrance can be set to three levels. This function can be activated via the iDrive Controller and the iDrive menu, or directly via a button on the air conditioning control unit. The function is shown on the Control Display.
While the fragrance is being released, air from the exterior is filtered and purified. Air quality is also significantly improved through oxygen ionisation.
The eight fragrances are divided into four categories: "Blue Suite" with fresh water fragrances, "Green Suite" with fresh plant fragrances, "Golden Suite" with warm, rich fragrances and "Authentic Suite" with natural fragrances. All of the fragrances last for roughly six months with average use and can be ordered as Original BMW Accessories.
REAR-SEAT ENTERTAINMENT EXPERIENCE.
The Rear-seat entertainment Experience equipment guarantees great entertainment for the rear seats.
Rear-seat entertainment Experience is operated using BMW Touch Command. It includes two 10" colour displays on the rear side of the front seat backrests. It also includes a Blu-ray player, an HDMI connection for mobile devices, as well as various connections for MP3 players, game consoles, etc. Up to three sets of headphones can be connected via the integrated wireless interface.
In combination with the rear massage seats, the Vitality Programme can also be used with the equipment Rear-seat entertainment Experience.
EXECUTIVE DRIVE PRO.
Executive Drive Pro is a suspension control system that combines high driving comfort with dynamic driving characteristics. Thanks to the active sway-stabilization − the first to work electro-mechanically − movement of the body is minimized when driving straight and when rounding corners. The system is based on active stabilizers on the front and rear axles and continuously regulates the suspension during the journey. The combination of the Dynamic Damper Control with the inclusion of additional information from the navigation system and from the driving style analysis all increase driving comfort even more.
